First American Names Anand Nallathambi CEO, Information Solutions Group - Update

The First American Corp. (FAF), a business information service provider, Monday elevated its Information Solutions Group's President and Chief Operating Officer Anand Nallathambi as Chief Executive Officer of the same Group. The company's Chief Financial Officer Buddy Piszel has been given an additional responsibility as the Chief Financial Officer of the Information Solutions Group.

Nallathambi, who was appointed president and chief operating officer of the Information Solutions Group in December 2009, will continue to serve in those capacities also. Piszel will continue to serve as the parent company's chief financial officer, while the Financial Services Group will commence a search for Piszel's replacement as its chief financial officer.

Nallathambi previously served First Advantage Corp. as chief executive officer and president, which was a majority-owned public subsidiary of the company and a business segment within the Information Solutions Group until November 2009.

Nallathambi, who began his First American career in 1995, served with First Advantage since 2005. He also serves on the board of directors of the Consumer Data Industry Association, an international trade association that represents consumer information companies.

Piszel joined the company as chief financial officer in January 2009. Previuosly, he served Freddie Mac (FRE) and Health Net, Inc. (HNT) as chief financial officer.

Piszel was also invovled with Prudential Financial, Inc. (PRU) for more than a decade, where he held numerous senior executive positions including that of senior vice president and corporate controller, chief financial officer of the individual life insurance business and chief financial officer of the asset management and retirement business.

He serves on the board of directors of RehabCare Group, Inc. (RHB) and is chairman of the company's audit committee.

FAF is currently trading at $35.19, up 1.60 or 4.76%, on a volume of 0.51 million shares on the NYSE.
