Industrial production in South Korea was up a seasonally adjusted 1.4 percent in June compared to the previous month, Statistics Korea said on Friday.
That was well above analyst expectations for a 0.9 percent climb following the revised 2.7 percent increase in May. The original figure posted a 2.6 percent monthly gain in May.
On an annual basis, industrial production climbed 16.9 percent - topping slightly expectations for a 16.6 percent increase following the 21.5 percent gain in the previous month.
The Producer's Shipment Index in June went up 1.3 percent on month and 14.6 percent on year.
