CA Technologies (CA) announced that it has appointed Michael Denning as general manager for its Security business, which is focused on Identity and Access Management or IAM. Denning will operate from CA Technologies New York City office.
Denning replaces Dave Hansen, who has accepted a new position leading the businesses that comprise CA Technologies distributed enterprise IT management portfolio, the company stated.
CA Technologies noted that Denning joins the company from VeriSign, Inc., where he spent the last 11 years. Most recently, Denning led VeriSign's Enterprise Security Services, a multi-million dollar business with functions ranging from sales and marketing to service delivery and research and development.
The company added that Denning's experience delivering a platform for managed service providers is important to CA Technologies IAM strategy for continued on-premises and cloud service development.
