Natalie Portman has revealed that she has not only gotten engaged to her boyfriend, choreographer Benjamin Millepied, but that they are also expecting their first child. In an official statement to Entertainment Weekly, the 29-year-old says she is overcome with joy about the news.
"I have always kept my private life private but I will say that I am indescribably happy and feel very grateful to have this experience," Portman revealed earlier this week.
The news comes at a busy time for the actress, who has just earned a nomination as Best Actress for the 2010 Online Critics Society Awards for her role in "Black Swan." The film leads the pack for this year's OCSA's with seven nominations including Best Direction for Darren Aronofsky and Best Supporting Actress for Mila Kunis.
Portman is also gaining increasing Oscar buzz for her role in the film.
