Acal PLC (ACL.L) announced the acquisition of 100% of CompoTRON GmbH, a provider of electronic communication and fibre optic components to the European industrial electronic markets,for a maximum consideration of £7.1 million before expenses.
Acal stated that the initial cash consideration of €6.8 million is expected to be paid from the Group's existing cash resources and additional deferred cash consideration of up to €1.7 million will be payable in January 2013 subject to the business achieving agreed performance targets over the next two years.
Nick Jefferies, Chief Executive of Acal PLC said " The acquisition of CompoTRON is a further step in the implementation of our European specialisation strategy, enhancing our position in the German specialist electronics market. It follows the acquisition of BFi Optilas in December 2009 which has now been successfully integrated into Acal."
