Avril Lavigne was caught off guard by an overzealous female fan during a concert on August 2 in Brazil.

As Lavigne was set to perform a rendition of Coldplay's "Fix You," a female fan climbed onto the stage and rushed over to the singer as she was sitting atop a piano.

The fan then attempted to either attack or embrace Lavigne before security was able to remove her. The singer screamed as the fan tried to grab to her, but later said "it's all good" before returning to her normal set.

Lavigne, who will appear at the Teen Choice Awards on August 7, has begun working on a new album, the follow-up to her recently released Goodbye Lullaby.

According to her fan site, Avril Lavigne Band Aids, she already has eight tracks recorded.
