ThyssenKrupp AG's (TKA.DE,TYEKF.PK) Ekkehard Schulz, a member of the Supervisory Board, is reportedly resigning from his role as curator of the Alfried Krupp voh Bohlen und Halbach Foundation. The German-language Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung also quoted him as saying he would "very quickly" retire from ThyssenKrupp's Supervisory Board, pending discussions with Chairman of the Supervisory Board Gerhard Cromme.
Schulz, according to the report, was seen as being responsible for the operating loss suffered by the company's American plants, in addition to a writedown connected with a Brazilian steel mill. The daily quoted him as saying "I have long trusted the wrong men."
