Information technology services and Knowledge Process Outsourcing firm Syntel, Inc. (SYNT) promoted Rakesh Khanna, president of its Banking and Financial Services Business Unit as Chief Operating Officer.
Rakesh has been with Syntel since 2005. Earlier he has worked with Oracle Financial Services Software Limited as a member of the leadership team.
As Chief Operating Officer, Rakesh will be responsible for the Business Units, Horizontal Practices, Centers of Excellence and Human Resources. He will continue to lead the Banking and Financial Services Business unit in addition to his responsibilities.
