The unemployment rate in Hungary increased in the three months to December from the previous quarter, data from the Central Statistical Office revealed Tuesday.
The jobless rate edged up to 10.7 percent in the October to December period from 10.6 percent between September and November. The figure was in line with economists' expectations. In the three months to September, the unemployment rate was 10.7 percent.
The number of unemployed, meanwhile, slid to 459,000 from 460,300 in the three months to November. The labor participation rate dipped to 56.2 percent from 56.4 percent.
