Kevin Bacon has reportedly signed on for a starring role in a new Fox Network crime/thriller pilot. According to a report from hollywoodreporter.com, Bacon will play the lead role of the show, which is from writer Kevin Williamson and thus far has no title.

The show's producers have released a brief synopsis that says the show will follow a "diabolical serial killer who uses technology to create a cult of serial killers and an FBI agent -- played by Bacon -- who finds himself in the middle of it."

If Fox picks up the series it will be Bacon's first full-time stint on a television series. The news comes just after Kevin's wife Kyra Sedgwick ended her seven-year run on the small screen. Bacon has reportedly signed on to make fifteen episodes of the show per season if it is, in fact, picked up.
