Diebold Inc. (DBD) reported fourth quarter adjusted EPS of $1.40 Monday morning, compared to $0.73 in the previous year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.84. The company expects to report full year 2012 adjusted EPS of $2.30 to $2.50, compared to the consensus estimate of $2.26.
Diebold has gapped up sharply Monday and is currently higher by 2.71 at $37.46 on above average volume. The stock has been rising for the past month and has broken out to a new high for the year.
