Security forces put down an overnight prison riot in the Indonesian resort island of Bali in which several prisoners were injured, media reports said on Wednesday quoting police officials.
Violence broke out on Tuesday night at the Kerobokan prison following the stabbing of an inmate, and the prisoners temporarily took control of the jail setting fires and encountering prison guards with stones and other missiles, the reports said.
Security forces stormed the prison and brought the situation under control after firing rubber bullets. Some of the inmates suffered from burn injuries.
The prison houses around 1,000 inmates, including dozens of foreigners.
