KKR Names John Mack Senior Advisor - Quick Facts

Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. (KKR) said it appointed John Mack, former chairman and chief executive officer, or CEO, of Morgan Stanley (MS), as a senior advisor to the firm.

Mack served as chairman of Morgan Stanley from 2005 to the end of 2011 and CEO from 2005 to 2010. Before that, he served as chairman of Pequot Capital Management. Prior to that, he was co-CEO of Credit Suisse Group and CEO of Credit Suisse First Boston. He also serves as chairman of the Board of Trustees of New York-Presbyterian Hospital and the University Hospital of both Columbia and Cornell, a Board Member of the Bloomberg Family Foundation, and a member of the Business Council and the Business Roundtable.

Besides, Mack serves on the Advisory Board for China Investment Corp., the International Business Leaders Advisory Council for the Mayor of Beijing, and the Executive Committee of the Partnership for New York City. He is a director of both Rev Worldwide and Corinthian Ophthalmic. He is a member of the International Business Council of the World Economic Forum, the NYC Financial Services Advisory Committee and the Shanghai International Financial Advisory Council.
