Carl Zeiss Meditec 6-month Revenue, EBIT Climb - Quick Facts

Medical technology provider Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (CZMWF.PK) reported a rise in half-yearly earnings before interest and tax or EBIT to 61.1 million euros, from 51.3 million euros last year, with the EBIT margin rising to 14.1 percent from 13.6 percent a year ago.

Carl Zeiss Meditec recorded growth of 14.8 percent in the first six months of fiscal 2011/2012. The company posted revenue of 431.8 million euros, higher than the previous year's 376.0 million euros.

The company is forecasting further growth in the second half of the current financial year, assuming that the economic climate continues to stabilize. Revenue target for fiscal 2011/2012 as a whole is 830 million euros - 860 million euros.
