Fans Angered At NBC For Cutting Out Muse's Performance At The Closing Ceremony

Fans of Muse and Kate Bush were angered on Sunday night when their 2012 London Olympic closing performances were bumped from NBC's primetime coverage.

The network showed two-and-a-half hours of the closing ceremony, but chose to cut out the much-anticipated performance of "Survival" from Muse. In addition, they skipped over the Who's four-song set and Ray Davies' rendition of "Waterloo Sunset." In place of these performances, NBC showed a preview of their new comedy, Animal Practice.

Viewers of the telecast used social media to lash express their dissapointment using several hashtags, such as #NBCfail and #closingceremonies.

This isn't the first time an act was dropped from NBC's Olympic broadcast. During the opening ceremony, performances by the Arctic Monkeys and many other artists were skipped over and replaced with advertisements.
