In early New York deals on Wednesday, the Canadian dollar was modestly higher against the U.S. dollar and the yen.
The loonie that declined to 79.32 against the yen and 0.9901 against the greenback around 4:00 am ET gained to 79.73 and 0.9871, respectively. The next upside target level for the loonie is seen at 80.00 against the yen and 0.985 against the greenback.
