"Oh Love," the latest Green Day track from their forthcoming album, ¡Uno!, has reached number one on the Billboard Rock Songs chart. The track is also climbing the Alternative Songs (5), Japan Hot 100 (22) and Adult Pop Songs (38) charts.
Alex Care's "Too Close" came in at number two on the same chart, while Linkin Park's "Burn It Down" took third place. fun.'s hit "Some Nights" and the Lumineers' "Ho Hey" rounded out the top five.
¡Uno! is set to be released on September 25. It is the first in a three-album cycle, which also includes ¡Dos!, set to be released in November, and ¡Tré!, which is coming out in January.
Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong describes the new track as "shooting from the crotch area" and says the band's new albums are a return to old-fashioned song writing.
