Nutrisystem Inc. (NTRI) reported third quarter EPS of $0.09 Friday morning, down from $0.21 a year ago. The latest results included one-time charges totaling $0.07 per share. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.16. Revenues declined to $81.3 million from $85.6 million last year.
Nutrisystem spiked to the downside at the open Friday, but settled into a range for the majority of the day. The stock closed lower by 1.19 at $8.40 on the highest volume in 8 months. Nutrisystem has been losing ground for the last month and a half and fell to a new low for the year.
