Hardinge Inc. (HDNG) Friday said it has acquired Usach Technologies, Inc., a privately-held machine tool company based in Elgin, Illinois.
The acquisition strengthens Hardinge's position as a high profile original equipment manufacturers in the U.S. and expands opportunities in the highly diversified end markets.
Usach will expand Hardinge's high precision grinding machines and systems under the Kellenberger, Jones & Shipman, Hauser, Tschudin and Tripet brands.
The acquisition is expected to be accretive in 2013.
