Adam Gontier, singer for Three Days Grace, has left the group due to an undisclosed health issue. The band announced the news on their official website, and, while they did not elaborate on the health issue, they did say that "effective immediately" Matt Walst would take over Gontier's duties.

Walst, lead singer for My Darkest Days, will join the band as the lead singer for their North American co-headlining tour with Shinedown, starting in Moline, Illinois on February 1.

My Darkest Days was recently put on hiatus after the sudden departure of their guitar player, Sal Costa.

So far, the band has posted three rehearsal takes with Walst to their website: "The High Road," "Chalk Outline" and "Riot." Incidentally, Matt Walst is the brother of TDG's bassist, Brad Walst.
