Peter Frampton has confirmed that he will be joined on stage by none other than B.B. King during his set at this summer's MusikFest in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The show comes as part of Frampton's Guitar Circus tour and will take place on August 5.

The pair will headline the Sands Steel Stage at the fest. The collaboration will mark just one special guest appearance on the Guitar Circus tour.

The tour will take place over three weeks next August, with Frampton confirming he's thrilled to work with the blues icon, telling Billboard: "I'm so honored. I can't wait to speak to him and thank him."

In the meantime, Frampton is also working on a ballet, which he explained in a recent radio interview:

"Right now I am writing brand new material and next April I'm playing three, hopefully four shows with the Cincinnati Ballet. The band will be onstage behind the dancers and we're going to do some old music that they're choreographing right now, but I'm writing 20 minutes of brand new music that will be featured and premiered onstage with a ballet."
