European Economics Preview: U.K. Retail Sales Data Due

Retail sales figures from the U.K. are due on Thursday, headlining a light day for the European economic news.

Hungary's statistical office is slated to issue average gross wages at 3.00 am ET. Average gross wages are forecast to rise 2.8 percent year-on-year in February after increasing 2.5 percent in January.

At 3.30 am ET, Dutch unemployment data is due.

At 4.30 am ET, the Office for National Statistics is scheduled to release U.K. retail sales data for March. Economists forecast sales including auto fuel to fall 0.6 percent month-on-month in March, following a 2.1 percent rise in February.

In the meantime, Spain's debt auction results are due. The government aims to raise between EUR 3.5 billion and EUR 4.5 billion from the issue of securities maturing in 2016, 2018 and 2023.

At 8.00 am ET, Poland's producer prices and industrial output figures are due. Producer prices are forecast to fall 0.4 percent annually in March. At the same time, industrial production is expected expand 10 percent month-on-month, reversing a 2.8 percent fall in February.
