Switzerland's economic barometer practically remained unchanged in April suggesting that annual economic growth in the coming few months will be positive without perceivable changes, the KOF Economic Institute said Friday.

In April, the leading index rose to 1.02 points from a revised reading of 1.00 in March. "The stabilization, that was already indicated last month, is thereby confirmed," it said.

In its Spring forecast, released in March, the KOF institute raised growth outlook for 2013 to 1.4 percent from 1.2 percent.
