Industrial production in Malta rebounded strongly in March, the latest data published by the National Statistics Office revealed Thursday.
Production grew 5.9 percent year-on-year in March, recovering from a 2.4 percent drop in February. Production of intermediate goods rose 11.7 percent year-on-year in March and that of capital goods increased 7.8 percent.
On the other hand, production of energy and consumer goods decreased 2.4 percent and 4.4 percent respectively.
On a monthly basis, production in the total industrial sector grew 3.8 percent following a 4.3 percent decrease in February.
