Billy Idol is currently working on a new album and has been trying out some new tracks for fans on his current tour. Speaking with Billboard, the 80s icon says the new material features a mix of ballads and rocking hits:
"I've been gradually putting new songs together. A couple of them are a little more ballad-like, but of course we balance those off against a lot of the sort of fun Idol songs that people know and expect."
The "White Wedding" singer added that he's working on his memoir, while eying a 2014 release:
"I'm three-quarters of the way through it; we're actually editing at the moment. It's sort of my recollections, which is almost a massive joke because I don't remember anything! The bits I do remember . . . I've tried to give an overview of my career or my love of music or whatever, my personal way through life, maybe some thoughts about what I've done right or wrong in my life. In general it's a bit of a walk through my career, just said in my own words, really."
