Twisted Tales, the final album from the late Doors keyboardist Ray Manzarek has been released. The LP features guitarist Roy Rogers, who issued a statement explaining that he and Manzarek were gearing up for its release:
"In our last meeting together before his passing, Ray and I were both very excited about the upcoming release of Twisted Tales."
"We signed off on the artwork and agreed that it should be released sooner than later. So, honoring that decision, I have proceeded with the release. We both were proud of this recording and hope that people enjoy it," he added.
According to Classic Hits and Oldies, the record features "Manzarek's classic driving keyboards and Rogers' slithery slide guitar, with lyrics contributed by a variety of writers and poets."
Manzarek died last month at the age of 74.
