The US dollar drifted weaker against its key counterparts in early deals on Wednesday ahead of the US FOMC minutes and the Federal Reserve Chairman Bernanke's speech, which are due later in the global day.
The greenback fell back to below the key levels at 0.97 against the Swiss franc and 100.0 against the yen, falling as much as 0.9674 and a 6-day low of 99.77, respectively around 4:30 am ET. The dollar also slipped to 1.2828 against the euro and 1.4920 against the pound around this time.
On the downside, the US currency may find target levels at 1.4960 against the British sterling, 1.2870 against the euro, 0.9630 against the Swiss franc and 99.25 against the yen.
