Franz Ferdinand have released the music video for "Right Action," the lead single from their upcoming fourth studio album, Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action. The LP hits August 27.
The vid, directed by Jonas Odell, who also directed the band's 2005 video "Take Me Out," incorporates elements from a series of textbooks published by Pelikan in the 1950s.
On the track, Franz teamed up with Joe Goddard and Alexis Taylor of Hot Chip, who get production credits. Other guests on the LP include vocals from Roxanne Clifford of Veronica Falls and Todd Terje and Bjorn Yttling of Peter Bjorn and John.
The band previously announced a list of 13 North American tour dates behind the LP.
The trek begins October 4 at Houston, Texas' House of Blues and ends on October 24 at Toronto, Ontario's Kool House. In addition it hits Dallas, Lawrence, Kansas; Minneapolis, Chicago, Nashville, Columbus, Ohio, North Bethesda, Maryland; Upper Darby, Pennsylvania; Boston, NYC and Montreal.
