Dave Matthews had to hitchhike to his own concert after getting stranded on a pre-show mountain bike ride. The DMB fronter was out riding when his tire blew, and, because he didn't bring a cell phone he simply had to wait by the road for someone to come rescue him.
According to CNN, Emily Kraus and her boyfriend, who were on their way to the show at Hershey, PA's Hersheypark Stadium, saw Matthews and pulled over.
After the show the couple was given dinner backstage, a pair of front-row tickets and a shout-out from Matthews during the show. Matthews also signed the pair's concert tickets with the message "Thanks for the ride."
"My cheeks still hurt from smiling, giggling and laughing all night long," Kraus wrote on the local CBS 21 News Facebook page. "This will always be remembered."
