Vince Gill has been added to the burgeoning lineup of the upcoming Johnny Cash Music Festival, which takes place at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro on August 17.
The fest, now in its third year, has been a success so far and looks to continue its streak said concert promoter Bill Carter in a presser:
"We've had great success with our first two events and have been lucky to bring in some wonderful talent who volunteered their time for this benefit," he began.
"This year is no exception. What is particularly interesting about the upcoming show is that every one of the artists performing had some sort of personal connection to Johnny. They've got some wonderful stories to share, and I have no doubt that in addition to the great music, we'll hear a few of those tales."
The concert will benefit the rebuilding of Cash's childhood home in Dyess, Arkansas and fund a college scholarship established in his name.
