Malta Producer Prices Rise For First Time In 7 Months

Malta producer prices increased in June after declining for five straight months, data released by the National Statistics Office showed Monday.

Producer prices grew 0.6 percent year-on-year in June, reversing a 0.4 percent drop in May. Month-on-month, producer prices advanced 1.9 percent, following a 1.1 percent rise in the previous month.

Domestic producer prices were up 0.4 percent on a monthly basis after remaining stable in May. At the same time, the annual increase in producer prices in the domestic market accelerated to 1.1 percent from 0.7 percent in the previous month.

In the non-domestic market, producer prices advanced 2.9 percent in June from a month ago and gained 0.3 percent from the same period of last year.
