Chicago has revealed plans to release the band's new album one song at a time as they are completed. The band has already released the song "Somethin' Comin' I Know," which was written by founder Robert Lamm and America's Gerry Beckley.

The band has developed a new recording system known as "The Rig," a portable studio that travels with the band. The single was recorded by The Rig in Nashville and Cleveland, mostly in hotel rooms.

The band has posted a performance video online of "Somethin' Comin' I Know" from a Nashville hotel room to show fans how it was done.

When Chicago has enough songs to make a new record, a physical disc will be released. The new LP will serve as the band's 33rd studio album.
