Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood are filling the downtime during the band's hiatus with a new side project, a cover band entitled Dick Fantastic and the Fabulous Four Skins.
The band, which consists of Haywood and Kelley, along with members of Lady A's backing band, took to the stage recently at Nashville's Third and Lindsley. They wore costumes consisting of sunglasses, head sashes, wigs, and a fanny packs.
"People say we look a lot like those guys from Lady Antebellum. I hate that band. Such a stupid name," 'Dick' (aka Kelley) joked onstage, adding, "Really, we just haven't played a show in a couple of months and we're going stir crazy. I swear we are not on any drugs of any kind. Like I said, we've just had too much time on our hands by ourselves," according to Country Weekly.
Their set included songs from Prince, Lionel Richie, Montell Jordan, Michael Bolton and Joe Cocker.
