The Ronnie Wood Band have been announced as the closing performance at the 2013 BluesFest in London. The fest begins October 29 and ends on November 1 at the city's Royal Albert Hall.
In a statement, Wood said that his group would pay tribute to Jimmy Reed in their performance:
"Jimmy Reed was one of the premier influences on the Rolling Stones and all the bands that love American blues from that era until the present day. It is my honor to have the opportunity to celebrate his life and legacy with this tribute."
The fest also features performances from Tedeschi Trucks Band, Bobby Womack, Natalie Cole and Robert Plant with the Sensational Shape Shifters. Tickets are on sale now at the fest's official website.
