Imagine Dragons will add a new cut, "Monster," to the soundtrack of the video game, Infinity Blade III, due September 18. According to the guys in the band, the song was written for a "crucial battle" scene in the game.
"Infinity Blade has been massive and we felt the song fit perfectly with the tone and visuals," the band said in a statement. "We're pretty big gamers ourselves, so we couldn't be more excited."
Donald Mustard, co-founder of Chair Entertainment, the company behind the game, said that he's been a longtime fan of ID, adding that working with them on the song was "one of the most surreal experiences of my life."
Fans not interested in purchasing the game or OST can purchase the track only via iTunes, beginning September 19.
