Gregg Allman has announced a new run of solo dates kicking off this fall. The Allman Brothers fronter will start the run on October 11 at the Montgomery Performing Arts Center in Alabama and will stay out on the road through January 8, 2014 when he'll wrap things up at Circus Sarasota in Florida.

Speaking with Ultimate Classic Rock he also revealed plans to start working on a new solo album in the near future:

"I always wanted to do a record merely called 'All Compositions By . . .' and just have my name," he said. "I'd like to do a record where I wrote every one. It's probably a goal of every songwriter in the world. Do one record that you totally create."
