The Who are prepping the re-mastered release of the band's classic 1969 album, Tommy, due in stores November 12. The set comes in two editions - Deluxe and Super Deluxe.
The Deluxe Edition features 20 Tommy demos, along with a full live performance of the LP mostly recorded during the band's show at the Capital Theatre in Ottawa, Canada on Oct. 15, 1969.
The Super Deluxe Edition features four discs. The first is the original album digitally re-mastered in HD. The second includes 25 tracks (20 previously-unreleased) from Pete Townshend's archive. The third disc features the LP in 5.1 album mix - Hi Fidelity Pure Audio Blu-ray.
Finally, the fourth disc features a live "bootleg" album with 21 previously-unreleased tracks from various live shows from 1969.
The SDE also comes with a hardback 80-page book featuring rare period photos, memorabilia, a 20,000-word essay by Richard Barnes and a rare facsimile Tommy poster, all housed in a hardback deluxe slipcase.
