Luke Bryan will play his new single "Drink a Beer" at the upcoming 2013 CMAs. The third single from his latest album, That's My Kind of Night, was written by Jim Beavers and Chris Stapleton.
"This is the coolest sad song ever," Bryan says in a press release. "It holds a special place in my heart and I am honored the writers allowed me to record it."
Bryan will dedicate the performance to his brother Chris, who died in 1996, and his sister Kelly, who passed away in 2007.
Bryan is nominated for three awards at the event: Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and Musical Event of the Year with Jason Aldean and Eric Church ("The Only Way I Know").
The 47th annual CMAs air live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena at 7 PM EST on ABC.
