A notebook filled with pages of handwritten material from late Doors fronter Jim Morrison will be auctioned off on December 18, ten days after what would have been his 70th birthday.
The item hits the block as part of Profiles in History's upcoming Rock 'n' Roll Auction, and is estimated to pull in between $200,000 and $300,000.
The Lizard King used the notebook to record poetry, musings and notes, which have never been published before. It comes from the personal collection of Graham Nash, to whom it was given by his former manager Bill Siddons. Siddons also happens to be one of the only people to see the dead body of Morrison.
Proceeds from the auction will benefit guitarist Jason Becker and the Jason Becker Special Needs Trust, assisting him and his family in his battle against Lou Gehrig's Disease.
