The Beatles have released a music video for "Words of Love," a cut from the upcoming album, On Air - Live at the BBC Volume 2. The vid, directed by Pete Candeland, features Beatlemania-era footage interspersed with animation.
The Fab Four recorded the version of the Buddy Holly song on July 16, 1963 at the BBC Paris Theatre in London. Another version of the cut was released on Beatles for Sale in 1964 and Beatles VI in the U.S. in 1965.
On Air - Live at the BBC Volume 2 is the follow up to 1994's Live at the BBC. It includes rare Beatles recordings from BBC performances thought to have been lost due to the BBC's former policy of recording over existing tapes.
The release coincides with the publication of the book The Beatles: The BBC Archives: 1962-1970, written by Kevin Howlett, who also wrote The Beatles at the Beeb 1962-1965 and The Beatles at the BBC.
