At 4.30 am ET Wednesday, the Office for National Statistics is scheduled to release U.K. GDP figures for the third quarter. The ONS is expected to confirm 0.8 percent sequential growth for the third quarter
The pound showed mixed trading against other major currencies prior to the data. While the pound advanced against the greenback and the yen, it showed choppy trading against the euro and the franc.
The pound was worth 1.6232 against the greenback, 1.4698 against the franc, 165.16 against the yen and 0.8375 against the euro as of 4:25 am ET.
