Netflix has confirmed that they are adding a new documentary about former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney to their slate of original programming. The new doc, titled "Mitt," is set to debut on the service January 24 and will make its debut at Sundance on January 17.

The doc was directed by Greg Whiteley, who followed Romney from the nomination process up through his concession speech to president Obama in 2012. According to Netflix the new doc will seek to show a more personal side of the former Massachusetts governor:

"This rare inside look at Mitt Romney and his family, as he runs for president, showcases a unique kind of storytelling, one which takes the viewer well beyond politics," Lisa Nishimura, Netflix's vice president of original documentary and comedy, said in a statement.
