An index measuring business confidence in New Zealand moved higher in December, the latest survey from ANZ Bank revealed on Wednesday - coming in with a score of 64.1.
That's up sharply from 60.5 in November.
The activity outlook also surged in December, climbing to 53.5 from 47.1.
A score above 50 suggests that optimistic responses outnumber pessimistic ones.
