Business services provider UBM Plc (UBM.L,UBMJF.PK) announced Monday that Chief Executive Officer David Levin's departure from UBM will be effective on March 1, following which its Chairman Dame Helen Alexander will become Executive Chairman until a new CEO is in place.
It was on September 16 last year that UBM announced that Levin intended to step down as Chief Executive Officer by July 31. The company said that he was appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer of McGraw-Hill Education in New York.
Helen Alexander will chair UBM's Executive Committee and continue to work closely with Robert Gray, Chief Financial Officer, the firm said.
Helen Alexander said, "We are making very good progress in the search for David's successor and will ensure there is an orderly transition. UBM has a strong and experienced senior management team, and it is very much business as usual."
UBM also announced that John McConnell will join its Board of Directors as a non-executive director on 27 January 2014.
