Eurozone's construction output rose a seasonally adjusted 0.9 percent month-over-month in December following previous month's revised figure of 0.2 percent drop.
The euro held steady against its major rivals after the report. As of 5:05 am ET, the common currency was trading at 1.2217 against the Swiss franc, 0.8242 against the pound, 140.40 against the yen and 1.3748 against the US dollar.
