The New Zealand dollar drifted higher against the U.S. dollar and the euro in early European trading on Friday.
The kiwi gained to 0.8555 against the greenback, up from yesterday's closing quote of 0.8529.
The kiwi approached 1.6088 against the euro, its strongest since March 18.
Further gains may take the kiwi to resistance levels of around 0.866 against the greenback and 1.60 against the euro.
