KISS Songwriter Faces Child Pornography Charges

Stephen Coronel, a songwriter on a number of hits for KISS, is now facing child pornography charges.

Coronel, who contributed to the writing of "Goin' Blind" from 1974's Hotter Than Hell and "She" from 1975's Dressed to Kill, was arrested in Beaufort County, South Carolina on September 26 and charged with five counts of exploiting a minor after a police search of his apartment.

As the Charlotte Observer reports, Sgt. Robin McIntosh of the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office's has said that a number of electronic devices and other evidence were seized and will undergo forensic testing.

Coronel was also a member of Wicked Lester alongside frontman Gene Simmons before the advent of KISS. The band was signed to Epic but broke up in 1971 before releasing an official album.
