Two Suspects Detained In Nemtsov Killing

The head of the Federal Security Service (FSB) has announced that two people from the Russia's Caucasus region suspected of killing opposition politician Boris Nemtsov have been detained.

Speaking on the state TV Channel One, Alexander Bortnikov, head of Russia's Federal Security Service, known as the FSB, said that the two suspects, Anzor Gubashev and Zaur Dadayev were detained.

No further details were provided about the suspects. The detention has been informed to Russian President Vladimir Putin and that the investigation was ongoing, he added.

Nemtsov, the former deputy prime minister was shot dead by a gunman in a passing car near the Kremlin late on Friday as he was walking home with his girl friend, Anna Duritskaya. She was the only prime witness who was with him when he was shot and have returned to Kiev this week. She told the media that she was unable to identify the killers.
