Lynyrd Skynyrd is among the artists to perform at the 2015 Ottawa Bluesfest at LeBreton Flats from July 8 to 19. The Bluesfest features a host of artists from several genres including rock, country, hip hop and EDM.
Other artists set to play include Chvrches, Jason Aldean, Kanye West, the Tragically Hip, Chance the Rapper, Deep Purple, Keith Urban, Nas, Brantley Gilbert, Interpol and Canned Heat.
Over the years, Bluesfest has grown to become the landmark event of the Ottawa summer and one of the top-ten music festivals in the world, according to Billboard magazine. The fest began in 1994 and has returned to Ottawa every year since. Organizers call it the Canadian version of Bonnaroo, Coachella, and/or the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage festival.
