Italy's industrial production recovered in February after falling for the first time in four months, data from the statistical office Istat showed Monday.

On a calendar adjusted basis, industrial output decreased 0.2 percent from a year ago. This was the second consecutive fall but slower than January's 2.2 percent decline.

The unadjusted production also dropped by 0.2 percent in February. Production was down 5.1 percent in January, revised up from 5.2 percent.
